Account Executive (United States: California)
This position is responsible for new account development and expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory. The role is a critical part of our team, covering some of our largest broadcast and studio customers and prospects. As a senior team member, incumbent will be selling Grass Valley’s solutions into the broadcast news, playout and live events markets. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the broadcast industry with significant sales experience, preferably in software sales but could also be selling hardware and systems to target markets today. Services & Support Engineer (Hillsboro, Oregon)
The Service & Support Engineer performs a variety of tasks including commissioning, training, and technical support activities for Grass Valley customers within the region. This position is located in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Duties commonly include, but are not limited to:
  • Delivering technical support to Grass Valley’s customers onsite, via telephone, and through remote access tools
  • Resolving performance issues and defects within Grass Valley hardware and software products. Such resolution routinely requires analysis of complex data and customer use cases and in some instances may require escalation to the next level for assistance.
  • Providing onsite product commissioning services and technical/operational training
  • Use of Grass Valley’s internal CRM system to log technical cases, escalate cases as necessary, and document case resolution
  • Use of independent, professional judgment to avoid errors that would impact customer service
  • Activity reporting and record keeping activities
  • Frequent travel, often on short notice
Required Job Skills:
  • At least three years’ experience supporting professional products from the Broadcast and IT industries in a customer facing role.
  • Ability to develop and manage customer and partner relationships within the context of Grass Valley’s overall corporate and account-level strategies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels within Grass Valley and within customer organizations, including presenting technical content in large groups settings.
  • General knowledge of professional digital video and audio broadcast technology and familiarity with a wide range of equipment within the broadcast industry.
  • Specific technical experience with products that transport, store, and play out audio and video media, with a strong emphasis on file-based workflows. Such experience to include:
    • Networking – Ethernet routers/switches/hubs, TCP/IP, CIFS, and NFS
    • Broadcast automation systems, tape archive systems, and non-linear editing software
    • Production Automation systems (preferred).
  • Ability to lift and install broadcast equipment (up to 40 lbs.).
