Field Service Engineer (Canada: Montreal, Quebec)
Located in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, we are pleased to announce the opening of a full-time position in the Americas Services organization. The position we are seeking to fill is a Field Service Engineer under the supervision of Alonso Reymer.

Primary Responsibilities:
The Field Service Engineer (FSE) performs a variety of tasks including commissioning, training, and technical support activities for Grass Valley customers within the region. Duties commonly include, but are not limited to:
  • This position will entail an interesting and varied role helping to support a wide range of broadcast digital video systems and audio-visual equipment which includes everything from simple ADC's to multi-channel master control TV systems and multi-display processors.
  • Proactively monitor technical issues at customer sites and make recommendations to reduce the risk/impact of similar future problems. Engage Grass Valley sales and/or engineering where appropriate
  • Identify opportunities for Grass Valley to assist customers through expanded services and engage appropriate resources within Grass Valley to drive those opportunities
  • Delivering technical support to Grass Valley's customers onsite, via telephone, and through remote access tools
  • Perform Office Based Technical Service and administrative work, service reports, weekly reports, etc.
  • Responsible that all customer issues found onsite get addressed and resolved
  • Resolving performance issues within Grass Valley hardware and software products
  • Providing on-site product commissioning services and technical/operational training
  • Frequent travel, often on short notice
  • Use of independent, professional judgment to arrive at the best possible solution to support customers while remaining aligned with Grass Valley business goals
  • Activity reporting and record keeping activities
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, on occasion, to support customer's twenty-four-hour operations.
Required Job Skills & Competencies:
  • At least three years' experience supporting professional products from the Broadcast industry in a customer facing role.
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Bilingual or second-language skill in FRENCH is highly desirable.

Inside Sales Representative Americas Service Agreement Sales team (United States: Nevada City, California)
As Inside Sales Representative you will engage in sales of Grass Valley Service Agreements and carry a quota that is shared with the Americas Service Agreements Sales team. Incumbent will qualify and follow up on sales leads provided by account executives, inbound calls, and outbound cold calling into customers defined by the SA Sales Director. You will build solid customer relationships and networks, generating opportunities to sell support agreements (SA) by actively reaching out to customers, with Grass Valley products and systems, as defined by the SA Sales Director. Lead role in keeping customers informed of Grass Valley's SA offerings through sales collateral distribution and other communication media and channels. May establish and maintain relationships with channel partners to assist with SA sales. Provides support to the regional sales team by assisting with SA proposals or issues upon request. Incumbent will assist in developing quotes for assigned customers maintaining professional delivery through partnership with the sales team. Participate in weekly forecast reports and other sales reports for the region. Maintain key metrics and other customer databases as needed. Keeps up-to-date knowledge of the industry, competitive posture of the company, and continually increases knowledge of company products/services.

Key Functions:
  • Build and maintain key metric reports which capture data that drives sales of aftermarket service agreements (SA).
  • Communication of key metrics and opportunities to be presented to senior management team and external customers.
  • Take inbound customer calls, determining customer SA need and taking ownership of customer inquiry to resolution.
  • Take the lead on the development of customer quotes and proposals.
  • Partner with a variety of internal groups to drive SA issues and communicate status to regional sales force and directly with customers.

External Interactions:

This position will be customer facing and will interact directly with customers assigned by the SA Sales Director. Interaction will take place via the telephone and may, overtime, include face to face customer meetings.

Product Owner, GV STRATUS (United States: Hillsboro, Oregon)
The Product Owner, STRATUS is a member of the Product Management team and focuses on workflow, asset management and the production application suite for the STRATUS product line.

The Product Owner (PO) possesses an in-depth knowledge of company goals, product strategy, and the objectives of the product line in order to act as the primary interface for the business with the Scrum Teams. The PO maintains a prioritized backlog so that each successive sprint can be planned clearly and efficiently.

In this role, the PO will work closely with other product owners, product managers and product marketing specialist to understand requirements, gather, analyze, and maintain the main STRATUS backlog. From there, the PO will be accountable for synchronizing the different scrum team backlog activities, user story creation and loading, while ensuring that the backlog is always groomed and prioritized according to the business needs.

The role also interfaces with customers to understand their workflows and technical needs and translates this information into user stories for subsequent development. Using this knowledge, the PO creates product concept documents, defines/proposes new product strategies as well as updates and improves existing products. The Product Manager, Vertigo and Ignite is a member of the Product Management team and focuses upon Vertigo and Ignite products.

The Product Manager (PM) possesses an in depth knowledge of company goals, product strategy, and the objectives of the product line in order to act as the primary interface for the business with the agile Scrum Teams.
