San Francisco, Calif., February, 09, 2011 – Grass Valley™ has confirmed its participation in an educational workshop hosted by the local Sacramento, Calif. Chapter (#43) of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE) on February 12, 2011 at the facilities of KVIE, the local PBS member station located at 2030 W. El Camino Avenue, Sacramento.
The SBE’s latest Ennes Workshop will focus on a number of key issues facing broadcasters today, including designing and deploying “Affordable Newsroom Workflows in all Types and Sizes of Markets,” which will be presented by Ed Casaccia, Director of Product Marketing for Grass Valley.
As a former news director and later working with Grass Valley, Casaccia has worked with hundreds of stations across the country that has deployed the Grass Valley Aurora™ Production Suite and EDIUS® multiformat nonlinear editing system, and is an expert on deploying file-based production workflows that include shared storage environments for news and other types of fast-paced production.
The workshop is open to all industry professionals, at a cost of $25 for SBE members and $35 for non-members. Registration and check-in for the all-day workshop begins at 8:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.
The Ennes Workshops were created in 1991 through the Ennes Educational Foundation Trust in an effort to bring affordable education to members locally. The Ennes Educational Foundation Trust, through its Education Foundation Committee, offers periodic workshops and seminars around the United States. Presentations are non-commercial and focus on technology. In addition, part of the day is devoted to separate seminar tracks for radio and television topics.
