MONTREAL, November 24, 2014 — A leading wholesaler in Europe for rental and sales of video and broadcast technology, LANG AG is expanding its broadcast equipment for the rental market with a suite of camera solutions from Grass Valley, a Belden Brand. Included in the suite are three LDX Première advanced imaging cameras, three XCU WorldCams and one LDX HiSpeed (LDX HS) 3X super-slow-motion camera along with the companion XCU XtremeSpeed XF Fiber base station.

MONTREAL, November 19, 2014 — High Dynamic Range (HDR) capture, an expansion of the ratio between the lightest and darkest parts of the video image, is viewed by broadcasters as the next big improvement in the viewing experience for the next generation of broadcast formats. Today, the dynamic range of television images is much lower than what the naked eye experiences in the real world, but new technology is beginning to address those limitations. Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, is taking a lead in this area and recently worked with the European Broadcast Union (EBU) to capture HDR footage during a live event for the first time.

MONTREAL, November 13, 2014 — Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, has supplied OTS Novosibirsk, a regional television company in Russia, with a suite of high-definition (HD) equipment for its outside broadcasting (OB) van. Grass Valley’s Russia and CIS office, with the support of local system integrator OKNO-TV, facilitated the upgrade, integrating nine LDX Flex advanced imaging cameras, XCU (eXchangeable Control Unit) base stations, Imagestore-Modular master control, the Densité 3 Frame and NVISION routing switchers into the OB van.

MONTREAL, October 15, 2014 — Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, expands camera sales to Bexel with 10 LDX XtremeSpeed (LDX XS) 6X ultra-slow-motion cameras as well as eight K2 Dyno Replay Systems. Currently, Bexel has 15 LDX XS cameras and six K2 Dyno systems on rental at the MLB Playoffs, as well as NFL and NCAA football games. The new camera and server system will provide Bexel's clients with a new, sophisticated ultra-slow-motion workflow with improved replay for sharper imagery and more engaging replay highlights, especially during live sports productions.

MONTREAL, June 16, 2014 — São Paulo production company SP Telefilm will provide broadcast services to TV Azteca, one of the largest television network in Mexico, to broadcast the games of the Mexican national team in Brazil during the FIFA 2014 World Cup using live production solutions from Grass Valley, a Belden Brand. SP Telefilm, referred to the project by International Media Services Inc., will use its HD OB van to transmit the games via satellite from Santos in the state of São Paulo and from the cities where the games will take place.
