Paris, France/Nevada City, Calif., October 5, 2010 — Looking to reduce costs and streamline its operations, Mediaworks' TV3, based in New Zealand, has become the first television network in the country to migrate its studios and future news broadcasts to a Grass Valley™ Ignite™ HD scalable automated production system. This brings the number of Ignite systems to 22 in 16 locations within the Australia/New Zealand region.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands (IBC — Stand 1.D11), September 09, 2010 — The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), the nation's main public broadcast network, has launched "news 24," a 24-hour news channel that leverages Grass Valley™ high-definition networked news creation and integrated production technologies. This new purchase adds to the ABC network's existing Grass Valley technologies, which includes Aurora™ digital news editing products for content creation as well as Grass Valley Ignite™ HD systems in other locations.

Las Vegas (National Association of Broadcasters Convention – Booth# SL106) April 10, 2010 — Media General, owner of 18 network-affiliated television stations across the southeastern U.S., will upgrade the newscasts at three of its standard-definition broadcast properties to the latest version of the Grass Valley™ Ignite™ high-definition integrated production system – bringing the total number of Ignite systems installed at Media General stations to 13. The comprehensive file-based system will facilitate a high degree of production control and efficiency at the stations and improve their on-air look.
