As of March 1, customers looking for solutions to prepare content for editing will be able to purchase this personal content management tool separately from EDIUS under the brand name Mync. Mync is available in two, scalable package types depending on content developers' needs.

MONTREAL, February 2, 2017 — First introduced by Grass Valley in 2002, the Viper FilmStream Camera represents a significant milestone in the industry as the first production model digital cinematography camera that most closely emulated a traditional film workflow, providing the highest quality digital images at the time. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is recognizing the lasting impact of the Viper FilmStream Camera with a Scientific and Technical Award at a ceremony in Beverly Hills on February 11. The Academy's Scientific and Technical Awards are given annually for accomplishments that contribute to the progress of the motion picture industry.

When the company began its latest project to upgrade 13 studios in eight capital cities across the country, it selected Grass Valley's K-Frame-based switchers for all 13 locations, with a mixture of Karrera and the new award-winning GV Korona switcher panels.

Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Among other products, Grass Valley will have its new GV Korona 1/2 ME production switchers and Focus 75 Live 720p/1080i user-switchable system cameras on display for demonstration. NEP Europe has been relying on cameras from Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, for years, with more than 600 cameras purchased and used for a wide variety of production projects during that time. When designing the newest trucks that will be joining the fleet over the next six months, leaders at NEP Europe concluded that only the new LDX 86N cameras from Grass Valley will provide the best performance and value for the increasingly popular UHD production its clients are demanding.
