Hillsboro, Ore., March 27, 2014 — Brazil's Empresa Paulista de Televisão (EPTV), part of the commercial network TV Globo, replaced their SD OB van with a brand new HD OB van equipped with a scalable Grass Valley® live production solution for HD coverage of major sporting events including the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The purchase includes 12 LDX WorldCam™ advanced imaging cameras, 12 XCU WorldCam™ eXchangeable Control Units, which support fiber as well as triax, and a Karrera® Video Production Center switcher with K-Frame™.

Hillsboro, Ore., March 24, 2014 — Atresmedia, a leading TV and media group in Spain, is outfitting its new HD studio with several live production solutions from Grass Valley including the powerful Karrera® Video Production Center switcher with K-Frame™, as well as a K2 Dyno® Replay System. Atresmedia operates eight on-air channels that deliver news, magazines, entertainment shows, top quality TV series and movies to millions of viewers across Spain. This new solution from Grass Valley will enable Atresmedia to double its on-air studio production capabilities and make its current workflow more consistent and smooth. The broadcaster expects its new TV studio to be fully operational by April 2014.

Hillsboro, Ore., March 13, 2014 — NZ Live, a new start-up broadcast facility in Auckland, has selected a fully integrated, turnkey, high-definition broadcast production solution from Grass Valley® to outfit its new facility. NZ Live will focus on feed recording, production, post-production, and playout of live sports programming from all over New Zealand. Initially, NZ Live will produce all the racing events throughout the country for the New Zealand Racing Board, but the facility is designed and purposed to cover all facets of broadcast workflows including OB operations and playout facilities. NZ Live expects to be on-air in late September 2014. This deal represents a powerful step forward for Grass Valley's presence in the growing broadcast market in New Zealand and Australia.

Hillsboro, Ore., March 6, 2014 — The Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in Saudi Arabia is installing a completely new Educational Broadcast Studio with high definition (HD) camera, switcher, and router technology from Grass Valley®. This announcement builds upon an existing relationship that began last year when Grass Valley supplied MOHE with an end-to-end workflow solution for the Ministry's first outside broadcasting (OB) van. For equipment implementation into its studio, MOHE will be working with regional system integrator First Gulf Company (FGC).

Currently NASDAQ is using Grass Valley's Concerto™ routing switcher and Kayak™ digital production switcher for its main on-air broadcasts.

Hillsboro, Ore., January 30, 2014 — The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the US government agency responsible for advancing public health, recently rounded out a three-year high definition (HD) upgrade with a new 3 M/E Karrera® Video Production Center switcher with K-Frame™ and a Concerto™ routing switcher from Grass Valley®, replacing HD-capable equipment from a variety of other suppliers. With the help of broadcast supplier Digital Video Group, the FDA was able to complete the upgrade over the 2013 winter holidays and its Gaithersburg, MD studio is now fully HD operational.
