MONTREAL, November 24, 2014 — A leading wholesaler in Europe for rental and sales of video and broadcast technology, LANG AG is expanding its broadcast equipment for the rental market with a suite of camera solutions from Grass Valley, a Belden Brand. Included in the suite are three LDX Première advanced imaging cameras, three XCU WorldCams and one LDX HiSpeed (LDX HS) 3X super-slow-motion camera along with the companion XCU XtremeSpeed XF Fiber base station.

MONTREAL, November 19, 2014 — High Dynamic Range (HDR) capture, an expansion of the ratio between the lightest and darkest parts of the video image, is viewed by broadcasters as the next big improvement in the viewing experience for the next generation of broadcast formats. Today, the dynamic range of television images is much lower than what the naked eye experiences in the real world, but new technology is beginning to address those limitations. Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, is taking a lead in this area and recently worked with the European Broadcast Union (EBU) to capture HDR footage during a live event for the first time.

As the new exclusive provider of Grass Valley production solutions in Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and Bolivia, FDM Broadcast will demonstrate a wide range of live production and news production products at the show. MONTREAL, October 15, 2014 — Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, expands camera sales to Bexel with 10 LDX XtremeSpeed (LDX XS) 6X ultra-slow-motion cameras as well as eight K2 Dyno Replay Systems. Currently, Bexel has 15 LDX XS cameras and six K2 Dyno systems on rental at the MLB Playoffs, as well as NFL and NCAA football games. The new camera and server system will provide Bexel's clients with a new, sophisticated ultra-slow-motion workflow with improved replay for sharper imagery and more engaging replay highlights, especially during live sports productions.

MONTREAL, August 4, 2014 — Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, has supplied mobile production truck operator Token Creek Mobile Television with sophisticated new cameras and advanced switcher technology for its Sioux HD mobile unit. The purchase includes 10 LDX Premiére advanced imaging cameras, 14 XCU eXchangeable Control Unit base stations and a Karrera Video Production Center switcher with K-Frame, which gives Token Creek greater flexibility in delivering high-quality mobile broadcasts to its growing client base. The purchase builds upon the longstanding relationship between the two companies and adds to Token Creek's existing fleet of Grass Valley technology, which now includes 38 cameras and five production switchers.
