MONTREAL, April 7, 2014 — Building upon the success of its LDX Series of advanced imaging cameras, Grass Valley, a Belden brand, today announced four new additions to the LDX range — the LDX HiSpeed (LDX HS) and LDX Compact HiSpeed (LDX Compact HS) 3X super slow-motion cameras and the LDX XtremeSpeed (LDX XS) and LDX Compact XtremeSpeed (LDX Compact XS) 6X ultra slow-motion cameras. These powerful new LDX cameras are built around Grass Valley's proprietary Xensium-FT CMOS imagers to deliver superb picture quality, high sensitivity, and high dynamic range for a wide variety of production applications.

Hillsboro, Ore., March 27, 2014 — Brazil's Empresa Paulista de Televisão (EPTV), part of the commercial network TV Globo, replaced their SD OB van with a brand new HD OB van equipped with a scalable Grass Valley® live production solution for HD coverage of major sporting events including the upcoming 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. The purchase includes 12 LDX WorldCam™ advanced imaging cameras, 12 XCU WorldCam™ eXchangeable Control Units, which support fiber as well as triax, and a Karrera® Video Production Center switcher with K-Frame™.

The cameras will be used in TV Câmara's news studio to capture important news broadcasts from the Brazilian Chamber of Deputies around the clock, seven days a week to millions of viewers across Brazil.

Hillsboro, Ore., March 17, 2014 — Executives at Myanmar's MRTV are glad they chose a robust solution from Grass Valley® for the capture and delivery of live HD coverage of the 2013 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games. This solution included a sophisticated broadcast infrastructure for MRTV's International Broadcast Center (IBC), which was designed to enable unilateral broadcast services for the Games. MRTV operates Myanmar's state-owned satellite television station MRTV. The station airs 12 local channels and 14 regional channels throughout Myanmar, reaching millions of viewers.
