Hillsboro, Ore., December 5, 2013 — TV Technical Center Ostankino, the largest broadcast production company in Eastern Europe, continues its SD to HD upgrade with equipment provided by premiere partner Grass Valley. In 2012, Grass Valley® equipped the broadcaster with 24 LDK 8000 Elite 3G Transmission triax camera systems, 14 LDX Flex™ cameras and four Karrera® Video Production Centers for TTC Ostankino to kick-start its migration to HD.

As part of the successful LDX Series™, LDX Première will enable Basel University to deliver higher quality imaging and performance. Founded over 30 years ago, PZ-Multimedia AG is a family run company with a strong technical background in editing and producing TV spots for regional studios, and systems integration.

Hillsboro, Ore., October 10, 2013 — Brazil's TV Vitoria/Record, delivering news and other informational programming to millions of viewers across Brazil, has selected an end-to-end solution from Grass Valley® to facilitate a quick and smooth transition from SD to HD. Grass Valley is supplying the station with a GV STRATUS® nonlinear media production toolset, eight EDIUS® Elite nonlinear editing software seats, a Karrera® Video Production Center switcher with K-Frame™, four LDX Flex™ HD studio camera systems with XCU™ (eXchangeable Control Unit) base stations, three K2 Summit® 3G 4-channel media servers, a K2 Solo® 3G portable 2-channel media server, and the K2 Dyno® S Replay Controller, as well as K2 SAN storage. The project will be completed in March 2014.

Hillsboro, Ore., October 1, 2013 — Grass Valley® today announced the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in Saudi Arabia has selected an end-to-end workflow for its first, fully equipped outside broadcasting (OB) Van. Complete with cameras, servers, switchers, and broadcast infrastructure solutions, the new van will enable MOHE to deliver the highest quality coverage of live events from across the region. For equipment implementation, MOHE will be working with regional system integrator First Gulf Company (FGC).

Hillsboro, Ore., September 19, 2013 — Grass Valley® today announced that it will provide Russian satellite broadcaster NTV Plus with several of its innovative live production solutions to deliver multichannel sports production for the 2014 Winter Games to be held in Sochi, Russia, February 7-23, 2014. These solutions include a K2 Summit® production client with a K2 Storage Area Network (SAN), GV STRATUS® nonlinear media production tools with EDIUS® editing capabilities, and a K2 Dyno® S Replay Controller. The Grass Valley-NTV Plus collaboration was completed via Grass Valley's long term Russian partner OKNO TV, alongside System Integrator PTS to deliver smooth installation of the Grass Valley solutions.
