Amsterdam, The Netherlands (IBC — Stand 1.D11), September 08, 2011Grass Valley™ has been awarded a contract for five LDK 3000 high definition cameras as part of an upgrade of the news studio at LNK, the leading Lithuanian commercial broadcaster. The order was won by Hannu Pro, the Grass Valley distributor in the Baltics, against stiff competition from other vendors which offered low-priced entry level cameras, but failed to match up to the quality and reliability of the LDK 3000.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands (IBC — Stand 1.D11), September 08, 2011 — Multimedios TV and Milenio TV, the third largest network in Mexico, has upgraded its studio and news production operations with a full complement of multiformat, file-based equipment from Grass Valley™. The new systems, being implemented with existing Grass Valley and other third-party technology, are being installed at the network's two production and playout facilities in Monterrey and Mexico City.

The new cable TV provider offers live news, entertainment, sports, and drama programming to subscribers throughout the country.

San Francisco, Calif., May 31, 2011 — Huafeng Group of Meteorological Audio & Video Information, located in Beijing China, is now producing on-air TV segments with high-definition (HD) editing systems and playout servers from Grass Valley™. A subsidiary of China Weather Bureau, which provides weather service and information to the public, Huafeng Group went on the air in March, using five EDIUS® laptop editing stations and five K2 Summit™ media servers to edit, record and playout content for 22 TV channels across China.

San Francisco, Calif., May 25, 2011 — Veteran production company Corplex, based in Lake Bluff, Ill., has selected a new Grass Valley™ Kayenne™ Video Production Center for a new 53-foot high-definition (HD) and 3D compatible mobile production truck that will hit the road in the fall. The truck will be used to cover sports, news, and corporate and entertainment events throughout the US and Canada.

San Francisco, Calif., May 10, 2011 — WJAR, the NBC affiliate serving Providence, RI/New Bedford, MA markets and owned by Media General, has upgraded its standard-definition Grass Valley™ Ignite™ scalable automated production system to full high-definition (HD) capability to produce its local newscasts. The upgrade includes the addition of a third M/E channel to the Ignite system's Grass Valley Kayak™ HD switcher and shows the ROI benefits that Ignite customers receive when migrating from SD to HD production as they preserve their initial system investment.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands (IBC — Stand 1.D11), September 09, 2010 — After a successful number of years with a variety of standard- and high-definition production and distribution products from Grass Valley™, EPTV (Emissoras Pioneiras de Televisão) one of the major affiliates of the TV Globo Network, has placed a significant order for the latest Grass Valley technologies to upgrade its owned and operated stations in São Carlos and Varginha to HD news production. In addition, all EPTV stations will eventually upgrade to an HD news production and an SD/HD infrastructure based on Grass Valley products.
