GeckoFlex 8906 Analog Video Clamping Equalizing Distribution Amplifier

This distribution amplifier offers all the features and functionality of our 8901 utility DA and our 8902 equalizing DA, plus a dual-speed clamp and video presence detection with SNMP trap generation. While all Grass Valley distribution amplifiers remove differential or common mode hum induced by cable runs adjacent to AC mains cables, this board offers a dual-speed self-clamping circuit to handle single-ended hum caused by grounded coaxial cable shields.

Additionally, a White Clipper circuit eliminates impulse noise above a user-selectable threshold. And the user-enabled video presence detection feature generates SNMP traps that can be sent to our CommandCenter SNMP manager or other SNMP systems for mission-critical applications.

At the core of the broadcaster's new structure is GV STRATUS® nonlinear media production tools for enhanced production and a streamlined workflow. GV STRATUS is being used in tandem with EDIUS® multiformat nonlinear editing software and GV Edge™ Integrated Playout System with K2 Edge™ playout nodes for 24/7 playout. This deal with Bank TV builds upon the recent momentum generated by Grass Valley in the Ukrainian broadcast market as well as traction gained by GV STRATUS in the EMEA region.
