GeckoFlex 8943CF 4-Channel Electrical to Fiber Conversion

The 8943CF is a four-channel electrical to optical broadcast quality fiber optic conversion module with reflected electrical outputs. It can accommodate SD/HD/3G-SDI video inputs as well as DVB ASI, unbalanced AES, and Grass Valley® audio TDM interfaces. The optical circuitry is housed in dedicated strap-mount SFP submodule devices mounted on the module circuit board. The SFPs selected set the power and the wavelength for the unit which allows for CWDM operation when combined with the 8939FCA and 8939FCB optical multiplexers. This replaceable optical technology allows for easy upgrade, reconfiguration and servicing.

At the core of the broadcaster's new structure is GV STRATUS® nonlinear media production tools for enhanced production and a streamlined workflow. GV STRATUS is being used in tandem with EDIUS® multiformat nonlinear editing software and GV Edge™ Integrated Playout System with K2 Edge™ playout nodes for 24/7 playout. This deal with Bank TV builds upon the recent momentum generated by Grass Valley in the Ukrainian broadcast market as well as traction gained by GV STRATUS in the EMEA region.
