GeckoFlex 8943RDA-D Dual 3G/HD/SD Reclocking Distribution Amplifier

The 8943RDA-D is a dual-input HD/SD/3G-SDI reclocking distribution amplifier. It provides two electrical inputs that can be mapped to feed any of four reclocked electrical output pairs (one input per output pair). The board is also completely DVB ASI compliant.

It can distribute either HD/3G-SDI or SD-SDI, making it ideal for mixed-format applications or installations where an upgrade to HD/3G-SDI is planned. Up to 90 meters for input 1 (J9), 100 meters for input 2 (J10) of Belden 1694A cable can be equalized for HD/3G-SDI and up to 440 meters for SD-SDI.

All parameters can be configured directly from the card edge or via a standard HTML web browser when the 8900NET Network Interface board has been installed. The board operation and configuration, as well as the signal presence and format, can be monitored using industry standard SNMP protocol via the 8900NET board.

At the core of the broadcaster's new structure is GV STRATUS® nonlinear media production tools for enhanced production and a streamlined workflow. GV STRATUS is being used in tandem with EDIUS® multiformat nonlinear editing software and GV Edge™ Integrated Playout System with K2 Edge™ playout nodes for 24/7 playout. This deal with Bank TV builds upon the recent momentum generated by Grass Valley in the Ukrainian broadcast market as well as traction gained by GV STRATUS in the EMEA region.
