GeckoFlex 8964DEC 4-Channel Analog Video to SD Converter

The 8964DEC offers four independent full-function decoders on a single Gecko series card. Typical applications include cost-effective analog conversion for a digital server, switcher, or router. Up to 40 decoders can be housed in only 2 RU of space.

The 8964DEC has a robust analog input circuit, which easily accommodates noisy signals such as satellite and microwave links. Most adjustments to this card can be performed on the module's card-edge controls. The on-screen display capability included with each module greatly simplifies card-edge configuration.

  • Four NTSC/PAL to 270 Mb/s SDI decoders
  • On Screen Display (OSD)
    • Configuration information keyed onto video output simplifies local card-edge controls
    • Signal inputs NTSC or PAL
    • Supports NTSC with or without setup
  • Processing includes: clamping, AGC (sync tip referenced), ACC (burst referenced)
  • Reference input NTSC/PAL analog color black
  • Picture detail enhancement
  • Four 270 Mb/s SDI outputs with independent:
    • Line sync mode for horizontal timing
    • Proc. amp controls
    • Line-by-line VBI processing
    • Test signal generator, includes color bars and pathological signals
  • Options:
    • Frame synchronizer, offers full frame output phasing
