GeckoFlex 8964ENC Four-Channel SDI to NTSC/PAL Encoder

The 8964ENC is a high-density, four-channel module that converts four 270 Mb/s serial component digital signals to four NTSC or to four PAL composite analog outputs on a single module. Typical applications include cost-effective analog VTR interfaces, composite analog production switcher inputs, and analog transmitter feeds. Up to 40 encoders can be housed in only 2 RU of space. Most adjustments to this card can be performed on the module's card-edge controls. The on-screen display capability included with each module greatly simplifies card-edge configuration.

  • 10-bit signal processing
  • Four 270 Mb/s SDI to NTSC/PAL encoders
  • On Screen Display (OSD)
  • Configuration information keyed onto video output simplifies local card-edge controls
  • Outputs four independent NTSC or PAL video signals:
    • Supports NTSC with or without setup
    • Proc. amp controls
    • Line-by-line VBI processing
    • Confidence test signal generator
  • Options:
    • Frame synchronizer, offers full frame output phasing
