EDIUS® HD is our flagship editing system for professional video production environments and is perfect for any analog, SD, or HD workflow. Its HDBX-1000 multi-I/O processor (MIP) design includes SDI and analog video, AES/EBU digital audio and balanced analog audio support, RS-422 device control, and SD and HD component outputs. It is also ideal for editing Infinity™ JPEG 2000, XDCAM and P2 based materials in HD and SD. The MIP is housed in a 3 RU rack mountable chassis and can perform real-time, same frame up and down conversion. This ability makes it possible to output simultaneously to SD and HD devices from the EDIUS HD system, directly from the EDIUS timeline.
The EDIUS HD Series uses our EDIUS software to deliver true real-time editing and full-quality, full-resolution output of standard- and high-definition (SD and HD) materials as well as multi-track, mixed-format editing, compositing, chroma keying, titling, and timeline output capabilities.
The EDIUS HD system supports all popular SD and HD formats, including Canopus® HQ, Canopus Lossless, DV, DVCAM, HDV, MPEG-2, and uncompressed video. It also supports DVCPRO, Infinity JPEG 2000, P2, VariCam, XDCAM, and XDCAM EX video. And it supports all DV and HDV cameras and decks.
The EDIUS HD system features hardware-based video overlay and high-quality video I/O circuitry. It interfaces with professional and consumer video equipment including HDV, DV, and all analog cameras and decks. It supports professional video equipment with component video and XLR balanced audio I/O as well as frame-accurate RS-422 VTR control and external reference sync input connections.
