The K2 media server platform is comprised of Clients and Storage. The clients provide the video/audio I/O capability. Clients connected to a SAN can scale to 150 channels or more. K2 multi-format SD and HD clients ingest and playout media under manual control or via automation or other applications. Clients are available that support DV25, DV50, MPEG II, IMX/D10 SD formats and DVCPRO HD, MPEG II, XDCAM HD and AVC-Intra HD formats at rates up to 100 Mb/s. With up to 16 audio channels per video channel, built-in Mix Effects, automatic up/down/cross conversion and aspect ratio conversion, K2 clients are the most powerful video servers on the market today.
