The online RAID storage systems scale from lower-priced systems that support from 4 to approximately 20 channels, to mid-range systems that go up to approximately 50 channels, to custom systems supporting hundreds of channels. More storage and more bandwidth can be added to any configuration, as well as adding redundancy.

For ingest and editing applications, a production version of K2 10G storage is available with higher capacity 7.2k SAS drives. This works well for use cases where content is ingested and then edited in a shared environment. When material is finished, it is pushed via file transfers to another K2 system for playout.

Similarly, near-line storage can also be provided with K2 technology. Featuring RAID-6 protection with up to 400 MB/s of bandwidth, it can scale up to 172.8 TB of raw storage.
