Highly Sensitive Camera Seeks Creative Type For Good Times: Does high sensitivity, effortless 1080p acquisition under low light conditions, and texture preservation processing sound good? How about smart coupling between functions, streamlined menu structure support, and higher quality artistic imagery? If you answered yes, then check out the LDX Series.

Effortless Communication: The secret of any relationship? Good communication. The LDX Series enables increased dialogue between you and your production center, ensuring smooth and powerful acquisition. Unique operator features including ArtTouch™, PickMe™, Endless Returns™, and Scene Direct™ allow you to increase your creativity and instantly attract the director's attention from the field when you have the perfect shot.

When production requirements change, a GV-eLicense is all you need to expand your camera's capabilities to a higher level model. How you upgrade is up to you—perpetually or 7-day term; one, two, or three levels up. GV-eLicenses give you incredible production flexibility, easing CAPEX pressures.

Easy In/Easy Out: Pair any LDX Series camera with our patent pending dockable XCU™ (eXchangeable Control Unit) camera transmission system and you get instant operational flexibility. A unique cradle, which can be pre-wired in the rack, eliminates cabling errors and reduces setup time. Each XCU comes with one cradle, but integrating additional cradles extends usability throughout your operation, allowing you to quickly and easily transfer XCUs between OB vans, studios, or anyplace.

GV-eLicense Program
Perpetual license: Perpetual upgrade to the next camera in the range
7-day license: Temporary 7-day (weekly) upgrade to the next camera in the range

Multiple licenses may be purchased to upgrade cameras by more than one level (e.g., LDX Flex to LDX WorldCam). Multiple 7-day licenses may be purchased for extended temporary upgrades. No credit is given for the purchase of 7-day licenses towards the purchase of a perpetual license.

How does the upgrade licensing (GV-eLicense) structure work?
A GV-eLicense will temporarily or perpetually upgrade an LDX camera (except LDX WorldCam™) to a more advanced model. There are perpetual and 7-day GV-eLicenses available. Each step up the LDX series requires a separate license. If a user moves up one model, they need one license; moving up two models requires two licenses, etc. To increase the duration of a 7-day upgrade, an additional 7-day license must be acquired.

Once the user decides their license requirements, they supply Grass Valley with the serial number of the camera(s) to which the GV-eLicense(s) should be applied. For 7-day licenses, the user also supplies the start date for the license to begin.

Once the order is placed, the Grass Valley order desk will send an e-mail to the user with a link to a unique and secured website, which will provide an activation code. The code enables a file download. After inserting a USB memory device into the camera, the installation process is completed using menus.
