Plus with optional VTR emulation software you can control direct playout from your EDIUS workstation as if it was a VTR. Machine control for external VTR ingest comes as standard.

Minimum System Requirements
  • Any Intel Core 2 or Core iX CPU. Intel or AMD single core CPU with a 3 GHz processor speed or faster (multiple CPUs and/or multi-core CPUs are recommended). SSSE3 (Supplementary) instruction set support required
  • 1 GB RAM (4 GB or more recommended)
  • One free PCI Express x4 bus slot (up to 1080p) or one free ExpressCard/34 slot (up to 1080i)
  • 6 GB or more space required for software installation
  • Drive with ATA100/7,200 RPM or faster is required for video storage:
    • Available hard disk space should be twice the size of the file to be edited
    • RAID-0 is recommended for HD and above resolution editing
  • A graphics card supporting higher resolution than 1024x768 32-bit. Direct3D 9.0c or later and PixelShader Model 3.0 or later is required.
  • A graphics card requirements for video memory size when using GPUfx will vary depending on the project format. For 10-bit SD project: 1 GB or more recommended, for HD/4K projects 2 GB or more recommended
  • Sound card with WDM driver support required
  • DVD-R/RW or DVD+R/RW drive is required for software installation. For writing onto DVD or Blu-ray disc, a compatible drive is required
  • Windows 8/8.1 (64-bit), Windows 7 (64-bit, Service Pack 1 or later)
  • Internet connection for EDIUS software activation

Upgrading from K2 EDIUS® Share, the veteran broadcaster purchased 10 turnkey HDWS-3GX EDIUS Elite workstations complete with Grass Valley's STORM™ 3G Elite breakout box and STORMTM 3G PCIe board which are built to optimize the EDIUS multiformat nonlinear editing software. Rounding out HTB's purchase are three REXCEED-X1000 units, two REXCEED-LT300 units, and K2 SAN storage.
