Maestro
Please review the Maestro release notes prior to updating the software.
Maestro software update procedures:
- Install Maestro software package by running “MaestroInstall.exe” from the distribution CD. This will uninstall the previous Maestro version and install the new version.
- Remove old and install new Maestro Jupiter Router Service on Jupiter PC if it’s a separate PC.
- Re-compile the configuration file in Maestro Configuration editor.
- Update the System configuration and software from Maestro Deployment Control Center.
- Verify and update bootrom code and FPGA/CPLD versions through Maestro Deployment Control Center.
Verify the bootrom code
- In the board Status section of the Maestro Deployment control center, select the board you want to check.
- Right-click on the "Runing" FPGA field for this board. This will display the FPGA/CPLD update menu.
- The first item should be the bootrom version.
To update the bootrom code
- Telnet into the board from the Maestro Deployment Control Center.
- Enter: stopSystem (return).
- Enter: ixProgramBootRom "/ram/current/bootrom.bin" (return).
- Reset the board from Maestro Deployment Control Center.
Update Maestro FPGAs and CPLDs
- In the board Status section of the Maestro Deployment control center, select the board to update.
- Right-click on the "Runing" FPGA filed for this board. This will display the FPGA/CPLD update menu.
- Check the "Update' boxes and select "Update". Answer "yes" to confirm.
