Grass Valley Fusion

Adding more value to Grass Valley products by improving the integration between them.

Fusion is all about delivering new functionality that increases operational flexibility by building practical synergies between Grass Valley products when used together.

Fusion is not a specific product, but it is a new way of working, a new way of thinking about design from a systems and operational point of view rather than about individual product development. It could be a simple one-to-one link that improves usability of products working together or it could be the implementation of system wide protocols. It gives you the power to work in ways that you could have only imagined, and that other manufacturers have only dreamed about offering.

For example, Fusion brings together the operation of the Kayenne Video Production Center switcher with our LDK system cameras, K2 Summit/K2 Solo media servers, and Jupiter router control system. Fusion integrates our MediaFUSE content repurposing software toolkit to work directly within a K2 Dyno Production Assistant controller, so one operator, on one computer, can set up video packages to be played into a news broadcast and transcode and rewrap them for the Web, mobile television, and video on demand. This is not just about extending control but completely seamless integration at the user interface.

What makes Fusion possible is the common design platform which Grass Valley is rolling out across all its products and systems. Only a company which can supply all the elements of production could even attempt this. And only a company dedicated to creating real operational efficiencies for its users could make it happen.
