The real-time video processing happens on the AMPP data plane. This data plane infrastructure can run on-prem, in the public cloud, or be GV Hosted—Grass Valley’s compute option for customers who prefer a turnkey deployment. In every configuration, the environment remains private and dedicated to the customer’s account.
Because AMPP is a fully cloud-native design, many customers choose to run their data plane in AWS, taking advantage of Amazon’s broad range of EC2 instance types, storage options, and networking performance. For others, GV Hosted on AWS provides a simple, pre-qualified pathway to production-grade elasticity without requiring in-house cloud expertise.

Grass Valley’s Sports Producer X, powered by the AMPP ecosystem, is a gesture-based, cloud-native production platform that empowers a single operator to manage an entire sports broadcast from anywhere.
