What is TVU MediaMesh?

TVU Networks is a Californian based broadcast technology company focused on IP based live video acquisition, and distribution. MediaMesh is their next generation infrastructure platform, a secure, low latency, scalable and global platform with mission critical reliability.

Based around the concept of “Global Shared Memory”, MediaMesh abstracts the complexity of signal routing, scaling and transport, thereby providing a flexible foundation for connecting sources, destinations, applications and services across cloud, on-premises and hybrid infrastructures.

TVU MediaMesh moves live signal; AMPP produces it. Feeds and sources carried on MediaMesh appear inside AMPP as discoverable, routable sources and vice versa - through TVU MediaHub Control, a native MXL enabled TVU application running in AMPP. A new remote source or destination becomes a configuration task instead of an engineering project, and the production keeps running where it already runs.

Sources, not signals

MediaMesh-connected feeds are searchable inside AMPP and vice versa alongside its own inputs. Operators find a source rather than engineering a route to one.

How does Dante work?

Dante transmits uncompressed, multi-channel digital audio over standard Gigabit Ethernet networks using IP protocols. The technology handles all the complexity of audio networking, e.g. clock synchronization, latency management, and channel routing, while presenting users with a simple UI
Dante uses Precision Time Protocol (PTP) to synchronize all devices on the network, ensuring sample-accurate audio delivery with low latency. Devices automatically discover each other on the network, allowing engineers to route audio between endpoints with the Dante Controller software.

5G or RF, what is the best solution?

A Decade of Stability in Wireless Camera Systems

Wireless camera technology for sports, entertainment, and roving news has remained largely unchanged for over ten years. The industry has primarily relied on two core transmission technologies: private microwave (RF) links and bonded cellular systems. Each has carved out a niche in delivering reliable, mobile video coverage for live productions.

Strengths of Current Solutions

Private microwave links—often seen at major live sports and entertainment events—are prized for their ultra-low latency, high-quality video transmission. These systems enable wireless cameras to roam freely, unlocking dynamic and immersive viewing angles.
