    The UCP-3901 is a user-configurable multichannel video-over-IP transceiver developed for use within low-latency and high-bandwidth Ethernet IP networks. It can simultaneously encode two and decode two 12G SDI signals using either SMPTE ST 2110 or SMPTE ST 2022-6 encapsulation standards and transport them over dual 25 GbE links (SMPTE ST 2022-7) providing "hitless" redundancy switching.

    To enable hardware processing flexibility, the UCP-3901 can utilize alternative Software Defined Cores (SDCs) that can be purchased and loaded as operational requirements change.

    With its essence processing (EP) SDC, UCP-3901 acts as a gateway between multiple SDI inputs/outputs to/from uncompressed streams encapsulated to SMPTE ST 2110 or SMPTE ST 2022-6.

    The UCP-3901 is fully compatible with Grass Valley's new broadcast-centric IP routing and network management solution GV Orbit, designed to migrate broadcasters from a traditional baseband routing and control environment to new hybrid SDI and IP workflows.
