Grass Valley Showcases New Products and Technologies at BroadcastAsia2017

MONTREAL, May 16, 2017 — Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, is set to highlight several new and improved solutions across the content creation and delivery process at BroadcastAsia2017, taking place May 23-25th at Suntec Singapore. Products on display at the show include: the K-Frame V-series, Grass Valley's newest, no compromise, compact production switcher frame; the LDX 86N Series camera, able to capture native HD/3G/4K images; K2 Dyno Universe for HD/4K replay; GV Node for real-time IP processing and routing; iTX On-Demand for automated video-on-demand (VOD) publishing; and EDIUS 8.5, with new features for 4K and HDR editing.

"Each year BroadcastAsia offers suppliers and manufacturers a unique opportunity to demonstrate their latest and greatest products with broadcast professionals from all over Asia," said Marcel Setiawan, senior director of sales engineering, APAC, Grass Valley. "As the leading broadcast solution provider in Asia, Grass Valley looks forward to the opportunity to share innovative new solutions with our customers and participate in thought-provoking panels alongside other industry leaders."

BroadcastAsia welcomes attendees from the fields of broadcast, production, post production, digital media, entertainment, houses of worships, system integrators, rental houses and education to explore and observe the advanced technologies and products presented by leading brand owners and solutions providers. The extensive program also includes various engaging and informative activities on the exhibition floor where visitors glean insightful knowledge from and network with industry experts and peers.

Conference attendees who visit the Grass Valley booth #4R2-01, located at Level 4 Suntec City, will learn more about the K-Frame V-series production switcher, which, at only 3RU, fits in locations with limited space and budget and is an ideal complement to the GV Korona switcher panel. The LDX 86N Series and LDX C86N Compact Series cameras, which offer multispeed and multiformat options to meet varied programming needs, as well as the GV Node platform—the first live production-specific IP aggregation, processing and edge routing node—will also be featured at the Grass Valley booth. Other solutions on display include the flexible and scalable K2 Dyno Replay System supporting SD, 10-bit HD, high frame rate and 4K UHD; the iTX On-Demand for automatic packaging of content for VOD platforms while content is still airing live; and the faster, more dynamic EDIUS 8.5 editing software, able to export, decode and add metadata in even more formats. The EDIUS 8.5 demo will include the 4K-ready, high-performance editing workstation.

The solutions stemming from Grass Valley's expanded strategic partnerships with Cisco and Dell EMC will also be on display. These collaborations allow broadcast professionals to utilize the Cisco COTS switch as part of the Grass Valley IP solution and to leverage the Dell EMC Isilon storage platform for GV STRATUS and EDIUS.

Marcel Setiawan, senior director of sales engineering, APAC; Richard Jones, director of sales, ASEAN; and David East, director of GV STRATUS business development, will present at the Broadcast IP Inter-Op Lab as well as at the Dell EMC workshop during the event.
