Grass Valley Delivers Flexible Infrastructure and Over 100 LDX Cameras for Antenna Hungaria

MONTREAL, July 13, 2017 — Antenna Hungária, the Hungarian terrestrial broadcasting, telecommunications and live production services provider, working with systems integrator Rexfilm Broadcast and Communications Systems LTD., purchased multiple cameras including native HD/4K cameras with HDR capabilities, compact cameras for tight angles and small spaces, routers and controllers, signal processing and multiviewers from Grass Valley, a Belden Brand.

"In terms of participation and global exposure, the 17th FINA World Championships for aquatics sports, which will be held in Budapest from 14-30 July, 2017, is going to be the largest sporting showcase Hungary has ever hosted. This makes it even more important for Antenna Hungária to be equipped with a flexible infrastructure and multiple capture options." mentioned Vilmos Váradi, executive producer at Antenna Hungária.

"One of the reasons we've worked with Grass Valley for so long is that we always found their technology to be reliable." said Gábor Csapó, managing director of Rexfilm. "With our extensive experience of working together, we're able to integrate the products quickly and easily, knowing they'll work first time so we can meet the deadline for the OB trucks to be rolled out for the FINA World Championship."

The four OB trucks will be equipped with a mix of NVISION 8140 Digital Video/Audio Routers and NVISION 8280 288x576 Routers, NV9000 Router Control Systems, Kaleido-MX High Quality, Pre-Configured Multiviewer and Kaleido-X High Picture Count Multiviewer, Densité 3 Frames and Densité 2 Frames along with multiple cameras including the newest LDX 82 Series Cameras—the first and only native HD-only camera offering an extended color gamut and native high dynamic range operation with a full 15 F-stops, LDX 86 Series and the complementary LDX C86 Compact Series Cameras, the LDX 80 Series Cameras equipped with a perpetual GV- eLicense for fast upgrades when needed, the LDX 86N Native HD/3G/4K/High-Speed System Cameras and XCU camera base stations.

"We are thrilled to be working with Antenna Hungária on this large scale project," said Jan-Pieter van Welsem, vice president sales and marketing, EMEA, Grass Valley. "This is the perfect example of a customer with the future in mind and Antenna Hungária is now well equipped with a solution that is able to grow and adapt to whatever their needs are today and tomorrow."
