Grass Valley Showcases Range of Broadcast Solutions at Inter BEE 2017

MONTREAL, November 7, 2017 — At Inter BEE 2017, one of Asia's largest broadcast equipment shows, Grass Valley, a Belden Brand, will demonstrate its innovative solutions for live event and news production, networking, and content delivery. The show, taking place November 15-17 at Makuhari Messe in Japan, attracts more than 35,000 attendees each year, and marks an annual opportunity for broadcasters and solutions providers to experience the latest industry technologies firsthand.

"Inter BEE brings together broadcast professionals from around the APAC region, all with unique solutions needs based on their current programming line-up and future plans to expand or enhance their content capabilities," said Jiro Kitayama, sales director, Japan, Grass Valley. "This year, Grass Valley's booth will feature a wide range of solutions for a variety of budgets, studio sizes and content types depending on what each customer needs."

At stand #3505 in Hall 3, visitors will see Grass Valley's live production solutions, including GV Korona K-Frame V-series Video Production Center a modular, scalable, cost efficient switcher with a 3RU frame that has the ability to produce content in SD/HD, 3G/1080p and 4K UHD; the LDX 86N High Frame Rate HD/3G/4K Software Upgradeable Camera Platform for easy capture of high-quality images in multiple formats, including 4K UHD, and upgradability to extended dynamic range (XDR), along with the XCU Universe UXF Camera Base Stations; and the LDX C86N Compact Series Cameras, a compact extension of the LDX 86N Series cameras. The stand will also feature news production solutions, including the latest enhancements for EDIUS Nonlinear Editing Software with native editing for HDR material, new processing enhancements, a streamlined installer package and more new features; and GV STRATUS Video Production and Content Management System with Isilon storage for efficient management of news production media workflows.

Networking and content delivery solutions to be highlighted include: GV Node IP Processing and Routing Platform, GV Convergent IP/SDI Router Control and Configuration, IPG-3901 High Density SDI/IP Gateway, which, together, provide increased flexibility to the IP-centric Broadcast Data Center solution; the UHD-3901-UC Dual-Channel 4K UHD Upconverter with Optional HDR Processor, which provides workflow flexibility for increasingly popular 4K and HDR productions; and the iTX Integrated Playout Platform which integrates ingest, quality control, content management, archiving, traffic interface, audio/video processing, graphics/subtitling, transmission control, transcoding and monitoring in one easy-to-operate system.

Throughout the show, Grass Valley partners TOMOCA Electronics, ASTRO DESIGN and Amazon AWS will feature Grass Valley solutions at their stands. Additionally, Mike Cronk, vice president of core technology, Grass Valley, will share his thoughts on industry trends in the International Conference Hall on November 16 from 3:30-5:00 p.m., and he'll also appear at the IP Showcase stand on November 15 and 16 at 12:00 p.m., and November 17 at 3:30 p.m.
